• Swimming and snorkeling at Hanalei, Anini, Kalihiwai, and Ke'e Beaches.
• Bird watching at the Kilauea Lighthouse and up at Koke'e.
• Driving up to Koke'e to hike and view Waimea Canyon and Kalalau Valley.
• Taking morning walks on the path along the Makai golf course.
• Listening to traditional Hawaiian music on AM 940.
• Checking out the Hawaiian books and CD selection at Borders in Lihu'e.
• Walking to the Princeville Hotel for drinks at sunset.
• Catching the Hawaiian music shows at the Happy Talk Lounge.
• Watching hula while you dine at the Kaua'i Hula Girl Bar & Grill.
• Exploring and shopping in the towns of Hanalei, Kapa'a, and Hanapepe.
• Visiting the National Tropical Botanical Garden in Poipu.

• The local farmers' markets are great for fruit, veggies, and flowers.
• Kilauea Bakery has wonderful morning goodies and pizzas.
• Try Pono Market in Kapa'a for tasty local food.
• There's a good fish market behind the Hanalei Dolphin Restaurant.
• Hukilau Lanai and Wahooo! are both good places for seafood.
• Kintaro Restaurant is an excellent choice for Japanese food.
• Stop at Jo-Jo's Clubhouse for shave ice. Crowded but fun!
• Lappert's Ice Cream is another favorite frozen treat.
• Scotty's Beachside BBQ has tasty food and a pretty view.
• Try the Oki Diner for banana pancakes with coconut syrup!
• For hamburgers, Duane's Ono Char Burger can't be beat.
• Bar Acuda is pricey but offers tasty tapas-style fare.
• Mediterranean Gourmet has interesting and tasty offerings.
• Princeville Hotel has an amazing Friday night seafood buffet.
